NS2PC has been granted the award “Outstanding Enterprise 2023”

On October 12, 2023, Mr. Yasuaki Watanabe, EVP/CFO of Nghi Son 2 Power Limited Liability Company (NS2PC) attended"Ceremony to honor outstanding businesses and entrepreneurs in Thanh Hoa province in 2023" and had been represented to receive the award "Outstanding Enterprise 2023" for NS2PC by the Chairman of Thanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee.

At the ceremony, NS2PC was honored to be as one of top “50 Outstanding Enterprise 2023", and Mr. Jubok Lee, EVP/PGM was honored to be as one of top 41 outstanding entrepreneurs received the Cup "Entrepreneurs of Xu Thanh".

This is an occasion to recognize and praise the efforts and important contributions of NS2PC and Mr. Jubok Lee individually in operating Nghi Son 2 Thermal Power Plant, contributing to the growth of the business and entrepreneur community in Thanh Hoa province.

NS2PC is invested by Korea Electric Power Corporation, Korea (KEPCO - 50%), Marubeni Group, Japan (40%), and Tohuku Electric Company, Japan (10%) with nearly 2.8 billion USD (This project has the 2nd largest investment capital in Thanh Hoa province). NS2PC was assigned by the Vietnamese Government to implement the Nghi Son 2 BOT Thermal Power Project with a design capacity of 1,330 MW, a net capacity of 1,200 MW (600 MW/unit), producing 7.8 billion kWh/year, providing electricity for more than 6 million households.

Nghi Son 2 BOT Thermal Power Plant was built from 2018 - 2022, with two units put into the commercial operation in July 2022. In 2022, NS2PC had submitted 595 billion VND to the State budget. The 100% of employees have received the insurance, salaries and other benefits on time.

Sharing values and supporting the community is a major and long-term program of NS2PC. In recent years, NS2PC has supported Hai Ha commune, Hai Thuong ward, Tinh Hai ward with more than one million USD for socio-economic development and environmental protection, such as Installing clean water pipes and water meters for 3,298 households; Training 413 fishermen to obtain captain certificates, training organic farming households; Donated more than thousands of trash bins to households, supported educational and medical equipment for initial medical examination and treatment and Covid -19 prevention.

100% of households in Hai Ha use clean water daily

Mr. Tran Binh Thuan, Chairman of Hai Ha Commune People's Committee shared “NS2PC has supported Hai Ha commune with more than 10 billion VND for socio-economic development and environmental protection. Hai Ha Commune collects nearly 200 million from socialization in every year, so it will take 60-70 years to collect the amount of money that NS2PC has supported."
