Mr. Nguyen Van Thi, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee highly appreciated the capability of the investor: KEPCO (Korea) and Marubeni, Tohoku Electric Power (Japan) built the plant ahead of schedule and safely, even in the Covid 19 period. He acknowledged and praised NS2PC for supporting the local community with practical projects for socio-economic development and environmental protection, which were praised by the government and local people.

Mr. Choi Youngsam, Ambassador of the Republic of Korea, praised the cooperation model between Korea and Japan. He proposed that the Thanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee and NSEZ continue supporting NS2PC in particular and Korean companies investing in Thanh Hoa province in general to get success of business in Thanh Hoa province.
NS2PC was born in 2014 to build Nghi Son 2 BOT Thermal Power Plant from 2018 - 2022, worthnearly 2.8 billion USD due Korean Electric Power Corporation KEPCO (50%) and Marubeni Group (40%), Tohoku Electric Power Company (10%), Japan invested. The plant has a net capacity of 1,200 MW, an output of 7.8 billion kWh per year, providing electricity to more than 6 million households; After 25 years of operation, NS2PC will hand over the plant to EVN for continued operation.
Over the past 5 years, NS2PC has supported the local community in socio-economic development - environmental protection worth more than 28 billion VND.
