“No one can protect our environment ourselves. I do care about the Conference launching the Executive Board and the Self-Management Team for “Environmentally Protected Self-Governing Residential Area.
The reality is that the environment directly affects our daily lives. The good or bad environment affects not only our families but also our surrounding neighbors or the whole area. That's why the NS2PC is always proactive, helping to make the community cleaner." Mr. Michael W. Savidge, EVP/PGM of Nghi Son 2 Power Limited Liability Company, spoke at the “Environmentally Protected Self-Governing Residential Area" launch conference 2024 and donated 390 trash bins to Ha Nam Village that held by Hai Ha PPC and Fatherland Front Central Committee. (Previously, NS2PC supported 1,219 trash bins and 30 garbage carts).

Speaking at the Conference, Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Tam, General Secretary of Ha Nam Village, Head of the Ha Nam Village Fatherland Front Department urged people to work together to protect the environment, he asked people to film and take pictures when see who throwing trash indiscriminately on beaches and alleys, sending village leaders to work with the Commune People's Committee then Commune police handle in accordance with law.

On behalf of Ha Nam villagers, Mr. Mai Dinh Hai committed to protect the environment from home to village, not dumping garbage on the beach, affecting the operation of factories in the area.

On behalf of Hai Ha Leaders and people, Mr. Nguyen Van Ngo, Chairman of Hai Ha CPC recognized and thanked the help and companionship of NS2PC and Hai Ha Commune for protecting the residential environment in particular, and socio-economic development in general over the past 6 years. He suggested that the leaders of Ha Nam village plan to manage the use of trash bins in accordance with the purpose and efficiency, contributing to achieve Culture Village Title of Ha Nam Village by the end of 2024.

At the conference, members of the Steering Committee of the "environmental self-governing residential area" introduced and signed a commitment to join and make Ha Nam village cleaner.

"I believe in the reputation and responsibilities of members of this Executive Committee. From now on, Hai Ha Fatherland Front will coordinate, calling on organizations and individuals in the commune to be determined to do well in environmental protection work so that each residence and each village is a self-governing residential area and environmentally safe". On the occasion of World Environment Day, I urge individuals and organizations to participate in the general cleaning of residential areas and beaches in the morning of June 5, 2024. Mr. Mai Hung Dung, Chairman of Fatherland Front, said.
At the ceremony, the village leadership board passed the Decision and Operational Regulations of the "environmental self-governing residential area" in 2024.
