NS2PC welcomes the delegation of Lao Students studying at the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics.
On October 17, 2023, the delegation of Lao students studying at the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics led by Mr. Sa-khon Phom-mat-lat, Party Member, Chief of Office, Party Central Committee's Propaganda Department has visited Nghi Son 2 Thermal Power Plant.
Joining the delegation, Ms. Luong Thu Hien, Deputy Director of the Institute of Leadership and Public Policy of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, Mr. Bui Tuan Tu, Deputy Head of the Management Board of Nghi Son Economic Zone and Industrial Parks. Thanh Hoa province (“NSEZ”) and 19 key officials at central and local levels of the Lao People's Democratic Republic studying at the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics.
Mr. Jubok Lee, EVP/PGM of NS2PC, on behalf of NS2PC Leaders, would like to thank the delegation for their interest and visit to the NS2 plant. He shared the advantages and difficulties when NS2PC proceeded the Nghi Son 2 BOT Thermal Power Project. With the Owner's experience, the close leadership of the Board of Directors, and the unity of engineers and NS2PC employees, NS2PC had built Nghi Son 2 BOT Power Plant on schedule and safely. On this occasion, once again he would like to express his gratitude for the responsible cooperation of the government from central to relevant localities, especially NSEZ and local people for their support, which making an important contribution to the successful construction of the Project.
Accordingly, the delegation visited the NS2 plant and was briefly introduced to each department of the plant by NS2PC's team of experienced engineers.
On behalf of the delegation, Ms. Luong Thu Hien thanked NS2PC for enthusiastically welcoming the delegation; After this visit, the delegation understood more about NS2PC and the investment environment in Thanh Hoa province.
NS2PC is invested by Korea Electric Power Corporation (KEPCO - 50%), Marubeni Group, Japan (40%), and Tohuku Electric Company, Japan (10%) with an investment of nearly 2.8 billion USD (Project has the second largest investment capital in Thanh Hoa province). NS2PC was assigned by the Government of Vietnam to implement the Nghi Son 2 BOT Power Project with a design capacity of 1,330 MW, a net capacity of 1,200 MW (600 MW/unit), produce 7.8 billion KWH/year, providing electricity for more than 6 million households.
Nghi Son 2 Thermal Power Plant will be built from 2018 - 2022, with two units commercially operational in July 2022. In 2022, NS2PC submits VND 595 billion to the State budget. The percentage of 100% employees receives insurance, salaries and other benefits on time.
Sharing values and supporting the community is a major and long-term program of NS2PC. In recent years, NS2PC has supported Hai Ha commune, Hai Thuong ward, Tinh Hai ward with more than 25 billion VND for socio-economic development and environmental protection, such as installed clean water pipeline and water meters for 3,298 households; Trained 413 fishermen to obtain captain certificates, trained organic farming households; donated more than thousands of trash bins to households, supported educational and medical equipment for initial medical examination and treatment and Covid -19 prevention...
