NS2PC is recognized to meet International Standards for Environmental and Safety Management.
On 05/01/2024, Bureau Veritas Organization issued the Certificate of ISO 45001:2018 and 14001:2015 standards at Certificate No. VN011407/011408 to Nghi Son 2 Power Limited Liability Company (NS2PC) as it has met international standards for environmental, safety and occupational health management system.
This is a significant milestone marking the great efforts of NS2PC’s management, engineers, and workers to ensure NS2PC operates safely, effectively, and develops sustainably, contributing to National Energy, Social Economic Development and Environment Protection; contributing to the successful implementation of the goal of reducing net emissions to zero by 2050 that the Government of Vietnam committed at COP 26.
NS2PC is a jointed venture company by Korea Electric Power Corporation (50%); Marubeni Corporation Group (40%) and Tohoku Electric Power Company, Japan (10%) to build Nghi Son 2 BOT Thermal Power Plant with a capacity of 1,200MW, producing 7.8 billion kWh per year, supplying electricity for more than 6 million households; After 25 years of operation, NS2PC will hand over the Plant to Viet Nam Electricity.
