EVP of NS2PC introduces ancient Vietnamese civilization via Dong Son bronze drums

“This is a symbol of Dong Son culture, a brilliant period of ancient Vietnamese Civilization nearly 4,000 years ago. In 100 years ago (1924 - 2024), ancient bronze drums were discovered in the ancient village of Dong Son, so scientists named the ancient bronze drum, a symbol of ancient Vietnamese civilization; Bronze drums were used by ancient Vietnamese people in ceremonies and to facilitate soldiers in battle...", quoted the introduction of Mr. Michael W. Savidge, EVP/PGM of Nghi Son 2 Power Company Limited (NS2PC) to foreign and Vietnamese experts and engineers of the Mong Duong 2 AES Thermal Power Company, who visited NS2PC on the morning of March 22, 2023.

Mr. Johnny Tanis, PGM of Mong Duong Thermal Power Plant and members of the delegation expressed their joy and excitement when learning more about the cultural and historical value of Dong Son bronze drums, especially the civilization of ancient Vietnamese people.

Then, the Working Group of Mong Duong 2 AES Thermal Power Company visited each department and division of Nghi Son 2 Thermal Power Plant; at the same time, NS2PC shared experiences in operation and maintenance, especially in handling difficult situations, which have arisen in technology and high prices of materials recently.

Mr. Johnny Tanis, on behalf of the Working Group, thanked and appreciated the NS2PC Management, Mr. Michael W. Savidge, and NS2PC engineers for openly sharing good experiences in the process of operating, maintaining and handle for Mong Duong Thermal Power Company to refer and apply.
