NS2PC: Overcoming the Covid-19 pandemic, stabilizing production, supporting the local socio-economic development
Nghi Son 2 Power Limited Liability Company (NS2PC) is a foreign-invested enterprise located in Nghi Son town, Thanh Hoa province. Over the years, NS2PC has had many practical activities contributing to the socio-economic development of the province.
Nghi Son 2 BOT Thermal power project with a net capacity of 1,200 MW in Ha Hai commune, Nghi Son town, Thanh Hoa is in the list of projects in the National Electricity Development Plan for the period 2011 - 2020, vision to 2030 approved by the Prime Minister. This is the first thermal power project to apply supercritical technology with high efficiency, contributing to reducing coal consumption, greenhouse gas emissions and other environmental issues.
After 8 years of investment and construction approval, on March 5, 2021, Doosan – EPC Contractor has coordinated with LILAMA and construction contractors to successfully organize the first combustion of generator unit No. 1 with the witness of joint venture investor KEPCO - Marubeni.

The first combustion event of unit No. 1 marks an important milestone of the project, moving towards the progress of the first combustion before this year's Lunar New Year.
As an enterprise located in Nghi Son town, NS2PC has always implemented many activities to support the socio-economic development of Thanh Hoa province, especially neighboring communes such as Hai Thuong and Hai Binh, Tinh Hai. Every year, NS2PC delivers the scholarship awarded to poor students, poor students who study well and achieve special achievements in the area; builds the clean water pipeline systems for neighboring communes.
Currently, NS2PC is implementing a project to apply Organic Gardening Practice with the instruction of lecturers from Hong Duc University. This project instructs farmer households in Hai Thuong and Tinh Hai wards, Nghi Son town to practice making biological pesticides from galangal root - an available ingredient used as a popular spice in Vietnam...

Although facing many difficulties due to the COVID-19 epidemic, part of the budget is still allocated to support Hai Ha commune, Hai Thuong ward, Tinh Hai ward (Nghi Son town, Thanh Hoa province) to develop many aspects, such as health (equipment support, health check-up...), education (equipment, toys, scholarships for all levels), environmental sanitation (trash support, clean up , installing clean water pipeline and water meters for 2,600 households), livelihoods (sponsoring to train 413 fishermen to get captain certificates, training farmers to do organic farming...)...
Mr. Tran Binh Thuan, Chairman of Hai Ha Commune People's Committee shared: "Tax collection in the commune is only over 100 million VND/year, but the support of NS2PC for this locality is now more than 10 billion VND through implementing practical and effective programs that meet people's expectations."
Recognizing and highly appreciating the outstanding results of this business's support to the local community, at the NS2PC scholarship awarding ceremony for 50 poor students overcoming difficulties in Hai Ha commune, the People's Committee of Nghi Son town and the People's Committee of Hai Ha commune awarded certificate of merit for the leaders of Nghi Son 2 Power Co., Ltd. Accordingly, Mr. Hirohide Sagara - CEO, Mr. HeeYoung Park – EVP/CGM and Mr. Aswini Nayak - G&A Director of NS2PC.

Previously, on October 14, 2021, responding to the call of the Vietnam Fatherland Front in Thanh Hoa province, NS2PC has also delivered Thanh Hoa Lung Hospital with 3 ventilators worth 60,000 USD for Covid-19 treatment.
