EVP of NS2PC was honored as Outstanding Entrepreneur of 2022

On October 12, 2022, Mr. Jubook Lee, EVP/PGM of Nghi Son 2 Power Company Limited (NS2PC) was honored by the People's Committee of Thanh Hoa province as one of 60 entrepreneurs. "Outstanding Employee of the Year 2022" to recognize and praise his efforts and important contributions in the successful construction and operation of Nghi Son 2 BOT Thermal power plant, contributing to the growth of the business community in Thanh Hoa province.

In his position, Mr. Jubook Lee along with the Board of Directors led NS2PC to successfully build Nghi Son 2 BOT Thermal Power Plant on schedule and in absolute safety, bringing the Plant into commercial operation in July 2022.

NS2PC is invested by KEPCO Electric Power Corporation (50%), Korea and Marubeni Group (40%), Tohuku Electric Power Company (10%), Japan with nearly 2.8 billion USD (The project has investment capital second largest investment in Thanh Hoa, after Nghi Son Refinery and Petrochemical). NS2PC was assigned by the Vietnamese Government to implement the Nghi Son 2 BOT Thermal Power Project with a designed capacity of 1,330 MW, a net capacity of 1,200 MW (600 MW/unit), producing 7.8 billion KWH/year, providing electricity for more than 6 million households.

During the construction, although there was no revenue yet, NS2PC has always allocated funds to implement more than 100 Corporate Social Responsibility Programs, worth nearly 1 million USD to support the local socio-economic development and environmental protection such as: Installing clean water pipeline for 2,858 households, training 413 fishermen to get captain certificates, training organic farming households; Supporting educational and medical equipment for initial medical examination and treatment and Covid -19 prevention.
