YOUNG PEOPLE WHO WERE BORN IN OUR TIME ACT LIKE US!

“Many people think that today’s young generation cares little about the courage and achievements of their ancestors during the war. I think that if they were born in our time, they would have acted heroically like us. Time is gone. The young people and officers must focus on studying, doing business, taking care of their lives and ours,” quoted from the speech of Mr. Ho Si Quyet, a war invalid Soldiers, at the Ceremony to commemorate the 77th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27, 1947 – July 27, 2024) in Hai Thuong ward, July 26, 2024.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Michael W. Savidge, EVP of NS2PC cum PGM of Nghi Son 2 Thermal Power Plant said: “Taking care of the lives of wounded soldiers, families worshiping martyrs, and families with meritorious contributions is the responsibility of the authorities at all levels; the support of NS2PC is the kindness of the neighbors, NS2PC is in the area. NS2PC is proud to join hands with the authorities and businesses and individuals in the area to take care of the lives of families of wounded soldiers, martyrs, and families with meritorious contribution in recent years”.

On this occasion, the leaders of Hai Thuong ward presented gifts to households with meritorious households according to current regulations, NS2PC presented 112 gifts to 112 households with meritorious contribution in Hai Thuong ward. The gifts are not big, but they bring the heart of the neighbors (NS2PC).

Speaking with the families with meritorious contribution in Hai Thuong ward, Mr. Tran Hanh Phuc, General Secretary of the Hai Thuong Ward Party Committee, acknowledged and highly appreciated the attention and support of NS2PC for Hai Thuong Ward's economic and social development in recent years.

On behalf of the leaders and cadres of today's generation of Hai Thuong Ward, he thanked the previous generation for their efforts and blood on the battlefield so that today's generation can live in peace and development. He pledged to make every effort to direct the Ward's units to effectively and promptly implement policies and regimes according to current regulations, as well as call on companies and individuals to join hands to take care of the lives of meritorious households in the area, demonstrating the 0morality of drinking water, remembering the source; eating fruit, remembering the person who planted the tree.

On this occasion, Mr. Dao Tat Thang, Chairman of the Hai Thuong Ward People's Committee, presented a Certificate of Appreciate Merit to NS2PC for its outstanding achievements in the movement "Recompense" on the 77th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day.
