Promoting Regular Health Check-Ups Among Women in Nghi Sơn Ward

Nghi Sơn, Thanh Hóa (December 15–20, 2025) – NS2PC coporated with Nghi Sơn Ward Women’s Union organized a health screening program for 385 female members at Hop Luc International General Hospital, with sponsorship from NS2PC. 

Mr. Michael W. Savidge, Executive Vice President of NS2PC and Plant General Manager of the Nghi Sơn 2 Thermal Power Plant, expressed his appreciation to the Nghi Sơn Ward Women’s Union and Hop Luc International General Hospital for their close coordination and professional support, which contributed to the program’s success and participant satisfaction.

Mr. Savidge highlighted the importance of preventive healthcare, noting that in developed countries, regular medical check-ups play a critical role in the early detection of health risks, enabling timely intervention and reducing the likelihood of serious complications. He added that he had personally undergone a health check-up at the hospital the previous week.

Mr. Nghiêm Văn Thành, Chairman of the Nghi Sơn Ward Fatherland Front Committee, acknowledged NS2PC’s ongoing contributions to local socio-economic development and environmental protection through practical community-based initiatives.

He emphasized that NS2PC’s support for health check-ups for women and the elderly in the past has helped raise public awareness and gradually foster a culture of proactive healthcare, noting that behavioral change requires long-term commitment and persistence.

Ms. Nguyễn Thị Lê Vân, Vice Chairwoman of the Ward Fatherland Front Committee and Chairwoman of the Nghi Sơn Ward Women’s Union, said the strong participation and enthusiasm of local women reflected growing awareness of the importance of regular health screenings. She added that the Women’s Union would continue to strengthen outreach efforts to encourage more women to undergo periodic health check-ups.

According to Dr. Lê Phước Hoàng, Deputy Director of Hop Luc International General Hospital, regular health screenings are an effective preventive measure for early disease detection, improving treatment outcomes and enhancing overall quality of life. He noted that the hospital is honored to partner with Nghi Sơn 2 Power Company in healthcare initiatives for women and the elderly over many years.
