NS2PC: Supporting locality online meetings and developing cultural activities

On June 12, 2025, NS2PC donated three 65-inch Samsung SMART TVs  to Lien Trung, Lien Dinh and Lien Hai villages; and officially handed over outdoor fitness equipment to Lien Trung village.

Speaking at the handover ceremony, Mr. Michael W. Savidge, Executive Vice President of NS2PC and Plant General Manager of Nghi Son 2 Thermal Power Plant – share his hopes that these contribution would strengthen local cultural movement, activities and enable smoother online meetings, connection and communication with higher-level authorities.. At the ceremony, he participated in physical exercises with local elders on the equipment installed by NS2PC at the Lien Trung cultural house.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Sau, Vice Chairman of Hai Thuong Ward People's Committee, on behalf of the leaders and people in the ward expressed sincere thanks for NS2PC’s meaningful support through initiatives such as: Installing clean water pipelines, donating medical and educational equipment, contributions to environmental protection... "The cultural movement, folk songs, folk dances in our villages are very active. I’m certain that these SMART TVs will elevate those efforts to a new level", Ms. Sau emphasized.

 "I am truly grateful for the care of NS2PC has shown us - it has exceeded anything I ever imagined .", shared by Mr. Tran Van Bai, Vice Chairman of the Elderly Association of Hai Thuong Ward, Head of the Elderly Association of Lien Trung village at the Ceremony. He recalled various programs he had participated in, supported by NS2PC such as: Regularly health check-ups for the elderly, volleyball competitions, especially the elderly in organic farming (making probiotics to deodorize barns, making biofertilizers from kitchen waste; making biological inoculant from locally available materials). Mr. Bai's household is recognized as one of the most successful examples of organic farming in and beyond the ward.

Ms. Hoang Thi Huong, Head of Lien Trung village, pledged to manage and utilize the meaningful "gifts" provided by NS2PC with right purpose, responsibility and efficiency. She emphasized that doing so would help strengthen the close and sustainable between NS2PC and the local community.

Previously, NS2PC also supported SMAR TVs and outdoor playgrounds equipment to Hai Ha hamlet, the commune, and Lien Vinh village (Tinh Hai Ward).
