NS2PC Participates in the “Day of Gratitude to Meritorious People” in Nghi Son Ward

To commemorate the 79th Anniversary of Vietnam’s War Invalids and Martyrs’ Day (27 July), Mr. Michael W. Savidge, Executive Vice President of Nghi Son 2 Power Company Limited (NS2PC) and Plant General Manager of the Nghi Son 2 BOT Power Plant, attended the “Day of Gratitude to Meritorious People” organized by the People's Committee of Nghi Son Ward.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Michael W. Savidge shared:

“Showing gratitude and living responsibly are universal human values that are respected everywhere in the world. However, elevating the spirit of gratitude into a community-wide event such as the ‘Day of Gratitude to Meritorious People’ is something I have only seen in Vietnam.”

Mr. Michael’s heartfelt remarks reflected not only his deep respect for meritorious families, but also his admiration for Vietnam’s enduring traditions of “Remembering the source while drinking water” and “Repaying those who have contributed to the nation”—values that have become an integral part of the country’s cultural identity.

Addressing the ceremony, Mr. Cao Luong Ngoc, Chairman of the People's Committee of Nghi Son Ward, expressed his sincere appreciation to businesses, organizations, and individuals for their continued support in caring for war invalids, martyrs’ families, and people who have rendered meritorious service to the nation.

Mr. Ngoc emphasized:

“The Party, the State, local authorities, businesses, and the people have always paid special attention to policy beneficiary families and those who have rendered meritorious service to the revolution. This is not only a recognition of their tremendous sacrifices and contributions, but also a continuation of Vietnam’s long-standing tradition of remembering and honoring those who came before us.”

Mr. Michael also noted that the relationship between Nghi Son Ward and businesses operating in the area, including NS2PC, continues to grow stronger and more sustainable. Together, all parties are fostering the spirit of “Trusted Partner – Responsible Neighbor”, ensuring that the outcomes of this responsible partnership continue to deliver tangible benefits to the local community while supporting the sustainable development of all stakeholders.

On this occasion, NS2PC presented 200 gifts, each valued at VND 500,000, to policy beneficiary families and people with meritorious service to the revolution in Nghi Son Ward. Although modest in monetary value, these gifts conveyed the Company's heartfelt gratitude, care, and sincere appreciation for the families whose sacrifices and contributions have played an invaluable role in the nation's development and who live in the community where NS2PC operates.
