NS2PC Hands Over Upgraded Yard to Hai Thuong Kindergarten

On the afternoon of June 27, 2025, NS2PC officially handed over the newly upgraded schoolyard of Hai Thuong Kindergarten to the Hai Thuong Ward authorities and the school management board for operation and use.

Hai Thuong Kindergarten was built many years ago, and the original schoolyard had become cracked and uneven, posing safety risks and affecting outdoor activities for the children. With support from NS2PC, the yard has now been upgraded with anti-slip tiles, making it clean, smooth, and much safer for play.

At the handover ceremony, Ms. Le Thi Hoa, the school principal, could not hide her emotions. She shared that from now on, children would no longer have to play in the dust on sunny days or risk slipping on rainy ones.

“The usefull support from NS2PC over the years—including classroom furniture (tables, chairs, cabinets, TVs, air conditioners, teaching equipment…) and outdoor playground equipment, and now this newly tiled yard—has significantly contributed to our school being officially recognized as meeting National Standard Phase I this June,” said Ms. Hoa.

Mr. Michael W. Savidge, Vice Excutive President of NS2PC and Plant Gereral Management of Nghi Son 2 Thermal Power Plant, expressed his delight in learning that NS2PC’s small contribution has had a meaningful impact.

Working hand in hand with local authorities and residents to help the school achieve National Standard Phase I brings us great pride. Seeing the school so clean, modern, and safe—and the children and teachers smiling happily—truly warms my heart. Supporting education is a key part of NS2PC’s CSR strategy, and we will continue to accompany the school and local authority in striving for National Standard Phase II in the near future,” he emphasized.

Your contributions have directly reduced the financial burden on parents,” she noted, adding that she requested the school to continue to manage and use NS2PC’s gifts properly and sustainably.
