NS2PC Donates Educational Equipment to Tinh Hai Secondary School

Hai Binh, Thanh Hoa, October 28, 2025 — NS2PC presented educational equipment to Tinh Hai Secondary School as part of its ongoing commitment to supporting local communities and promoting education.

Attending and delivering remarks at the ceremony, Mr. Michael W. Savidge, Executive Vice President of NS2PC and Plant General Manager of the Nghi Son 2 Thermal Power Plant, expressed his great honor in being present at a school located in a region renowned for its long-standing tradition of learning and academic excellence.

“It is a great honor to stand at this beautiful school — a place rich in tradition, where generations of students have grown up and made significant contributions to their homeland and the nation. Among them was the late Mr. Le Huy Ngo, former Secretary of the Thanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee and former Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, who was highly respected and admired by many,” Mr. Savidge shared.

During the ceremony, Mr. Savidge met and spoke with students, including children of NS2PC engineers and employees.

“I hope that the children of NS2PC families will learn many valuable lessons, particularly the perseverance and determination exemplified by the students of Tinh Hai — a community that still faces challenges but takes great pride in its strong educational tradition and many successful alumni,” he noted.

In his exchange with teachers, Mr. Savidge also conveyed his hope that one day, some of their students would become outstanding engineers and esteemed experts working for or advising NS2PC — thereby contributing not only to the company’s development but also to the advancement of their own community.

Speaking at the event, Mr. Nguyen Minh Tan, Vice Chairman of the Hai Binh Ward People’s Committee, acknowledged and expressed his gratitude to NS2PC for its practical and meaningful contributions to local socio-economic development and environmental protection in recent years.

He emphasized:

“The equipment donated by NS2PC today not only symbolizes care and solidarity but also helps to improve the school’s facilities, enhance the quality of teaching and learning, and support the implementation of the new general education curriculum.”

On behalf of the school, Mrs. Nguyen Thi Ngan, Vice Principal of Tinh Hai Secondary School, expressed her heartfelt appreciation for the meaningful gifts from NS2PC.

“The school is committed to managing and utilizing these gifts effectively and for their intended purposes so that they will deliver long-term benefits, enhance the quality of teaching and learning, and help reduce the financial burden on parents,” she affirmed.
