NS2PC Awards 30 Scholarships to Students of Lien Vinh village, Hai Binh Ward

Hai Binh – Thanh Hoa, December 7, 2025: The People’s Committee of Hai Binh Ward, the Hai Binh Ward Study Promotion Association, the Lien Vinh village and NS2PC jointly organized a ceremony to award 30 NS2PC scholarships to 30 students from Lien Vinh village who have overcome difficulties and/or achieved outstanding academic results.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Wajima Takuo, Deputy Operation Director of Nghi Son 2 Power Plant, congratulated the 30 students receiving scholarships on this occasion. He emphasized that “although the scholarships are not of great material value, they reflect the care, attention, and encouragement of local authorities and NS2PC toward the future generation of Hai Binh.”

He praised the local community for its strong tradition of studiousness and resilience despite economic challenges. Thanks to perseverance in both learning and life, many individuals from Hai Binh Ward have become outstanding teachers, journalists, engineers, doctors, successful entrepreneurs, military officers, excellent farmers, and talented chefs. Among them are highly skilled engineers who work tirelessly to help ensure the stable operation of Nghi Son 2 Thermal Power Plant.

Mr. Wajima Takuo delivers scholarships to students

“When they were young, their lives were also very difficult, but with determination to overcome hardships, they grew into outstanding individuals who made significant contributions to the country—such as Mr. Le Huy Ngo, former Secretary of the Thanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee and former Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, whom I have recently learned about,” he shared.

“With your determination, it will not be long before you become engineers, doctors, skilled farmers, or talented chefs. I hope to one day welcome you to work as experts or entrepreneurs in my beautiful home country of Japan,” Mr. Wajima added.

Mr. Nguyen Minh Tan, Vice Chairman of Hai Binh Ward People’s Committee, expressed appreciation for NS2PC’s ongoing support, which has contributed to the socio-economic and environmental development of the locality. “NS2PC’s annual scholarship program is a meaningful initiative that promptly motivates students to overcome difficulties and strive harder in their studies,” he emphasized.

At the ceremony, he also encouraged the students to continue their efforts, uphold the ward’s tradition of studiousness and perseverance, and strive to become individuals capable of contributing to their families, hometown, and the nation in the future.

“For me, this scholarship recognizes my continuous efforts and also serves as a reminder to keep striving. I promise to use the scholarship effectively for my studies, to keep improving myself, and to work hard to achieve better results—worthy of the trust shown by the ward leaders, the Hai Binh Study Promotion Association, and Nghi Son 2 Power Company,” said Nguyen Hoang Yen, a 12A7 student at Tinh Gia 3 High School, representing the 30 scholarship recipients.

Earlier, on December 4, 2025, NS2PC awarded 100 scholarships to 100 students in Nghi Son Ward. Each scholarship included 1 million VND and a thermal water bottle.
