Hai Ha Secondary School Celebrates the Joy of a New Classroom

Thanh Hoa, October 14, 2025 – The Nghi Son 2 Power Company Limited (NS2PC) has officially handed over a newly built classroom, complete with furnishings and learning equipment, to Hai Ha Secondary School in Nghi Son Ward, Thanh Hoa Province — bringing smiles and excitement to teachers, students, and parents alike.

A Gift of Hope for a Coastal Community

Located in a coastal area where economic conditions remain challenging, Hai Ha Secondary School has long faced shortages of classrooms and teaching facilities. Built many years ago, the school’s infrastructure has severely deteriorated, and limited public funding has made improvements difficult.

Principal Tran Nam Thanh expressed heartfelt gratitude for the new addition:

“This classroom is simple, but it fulfills a long-standing dream for our teachers and students. It gives us the opportunity to better nurture and support our gifted students.”

Attending the handover ceremony, Mr. Mai Hung Co (Michael W. Savidge) — Executive Vice President of NS2PC and General Manager of the Nghi Son 2 Thermal Power Plant — shared his joy in witnessing the community’s reaction:

“Though NS2PC’s contribution may not be large, what we’ve received in return are countless smiles from students and teachers. That is our true happiness. We hope the students will thrive and contribute to the growth of their hometown.”

Commitment to Education and Community Development

Education support is one of the key pillars in NS2PC’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program. In recent years, NS2PC has funded the renovation of teachers’ housing, administrative offices, and the school library, as well as donated 50 sets of desks and chairs to Hai Ha Secondary School — reaffirming its commitment to local educational development. Mr. Mai Hung Co added.

Speaking on behalf of the local government and residents, Mr. Nguyen Van Hoan, Vice Chairman of the Nghi Son Ward People’s Committee, extended his appreciation to NS2PC:
