On behalf of the company, Mr. Michael W. Savidge – Executive Vice President of NS2PC and Plant General Manager of Nghi Son 2 Thermal Power Plant – personally received the certificate from the Chairman of the Hai Binh Ward People’s Committee.

Joining Hands with the Local Community to Overcome the Aftermath of Typhoon No. 10

Due to the impact of Typhoon No. 10, Hai Binh Ward, particularly Lien Vinh residential area, suffered severe damage, with 13 houses collapsed or unroofed, including 8 families in especially difficult circumstances. Other public facilities such as schools, cultural houses, and power poles were also heavily affected.

Immediately after the storm subsided, NS2PC’s team promptly cooperated with local authorities to visit affected households, inspect the damage, and assess recovery needs. In response to a call from the Hai Binh Ward Fatherland Front Committee (UBMTTQ), NS2PC donated VND 100 million through the committee to support families whose homes had collapsed or lost their roofs, helping them rebuild and stabilize their lives after the disaster.

Remarks at the Ceremony

Mr. Nguyen Minh Tan, Vice Chairman of the Ward People’s Committee, acknowledged and expressed gratitude for the kindness of organizations and individuals who volunteered to donate blood and shared with families affected by the storm, helping them to recover quickly, emphasizing the spirit of “a morsel in hunger is worth a feast in comfort.”
