NS2PC Executive Vice President receives Delegation from Thanh Hoa Industrial College

NS2PC, Thanh Hoa, July 23, 2026: Mr. Michael W. Savidge, Executive Vice President of Nghi Son 2 Power Company Limited (NS2PC) and Plant General Manager of the Nghi Son 2 BOT Power Plant, welcomed and held a working session with a delegation from Thanh Hoa Industrial College, led by Mr. Hoang Anh Tuan, Principal of the College. The visit aimed to strengthen cooperation between the College and the Company, contributing to improvements in education, scientific research, and the development of a highly skilled workforce to meet the growing demands of the industrial sector.

Representing NS2PC at the meeting were managers from various departments, along with engineers and technical specialists responsible for plant operation, maintenance, occupational safety, and environmental management. The delegation from Thanh Hoa Industrial College included members of the College's Board of Management, heads of academic departments, and faculty and administrative staff.

During the meeting, both parties presented overviews of their respective organizations and exchanged views on education and training, while sharing practical experience in equipment operation and maintenance, safety management, environmental protection, and human resource development in response to technological transformation and the evolving needs of the labor market.

The delegation also toured the production facilities of the Nghi Son 2 BOT Power Plant. NS2PC engineers and specialists introduced the plant's advanced technologies, operating procedures, maintenance practices, occupational safety systems, and environmental management in accordance with Vietnamese regulations and international standards. They also shared valuable operational experiences and real-life case studies from plant operations, with particular emphasis on workplace safety.

Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Michael W. Savidge expressed his pleasure in welcoming the delegation and highly appreciated the important role of Thanh Hoa Industrial College as one of the province's leading technical education institutions, which has supplied skilled personnel to numerous enterprises both within and outside Thanh Hoa Province.

Mr. Savidge noted that the Nghi Son 2 BOT Power Plant operates with state-of-the-art supercritical boiler technology while implementing rigorous standards for occupational safety, health, and environmental protection in compliance with Vietnamese regulations and internationally recognized best practices.

"We are delighted if the practical experience gained from operating our power plant can serve as a valuable reference for the College, supporting its educational programs and enabling students to gain early exposure to a modern industrial production environment. We hope this cooperation will contribute to meeting Thanh Hoa's increasing demand for a highly skilled workforce," said Mr. Michael W. Savidge.

According to Mr. Tuan, the technical visit provided the College with an excellent opportunity to gain insights into advanced technologies, modern management practices, and the practical requirements of industry. The knowledge acquired will serve as an important basis for reviewing and updating the College's curricula to better align with labor market demands, thereby enhancing the quality of technical education and strengthening students' foreign language proficiency.
