Chairman of Thanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee awarded a Certificate of Merit to NS2PC leaders

On December 17, 2024, the Management Board of Nghi Son Economic Zone and Industrial parks of Thanh Hoa province (NSEZ) organized a Award Ceremony of Meri Certificate of the Chairman of Thanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee to Mr. Myounghak Yim, Maintenance Director and Nguyen Hoang Nam, Commercial and Contract Director due to "Outstanding achievements in production and business contributions in 2024, contributing to the socio-economic development of the province."

Speaking at the Ceremony, Mr. Bui Tuan Tu, Deputy Head of NSEZ acknowledged and appreciated the great contributions of Mr. Myounghak Yim and Mr. Nguyen Hoang Nam in ensuring Nghi Son 2 Thermal Power Plant operating stably and effectively. “Nghi Son 2 BOT Thermal Power Project is the second largest project in Nghi Son Economic Zone in particular and Thanh Hoa province in general. The success of the project contributes to the socio-economic development of the province and brightens more attractive investment destinations of Nghi Son Economic Zone in particular and Thanh Hoa province in general" Mr. Tu said.

Mr. Chung Kook Choi, CEO of NS2PC, would like to appreciate the leaders of Thanh Hoa province and NSEZ for promptly recognizing and encouraging the contributions of Mr. Myounghak Yim and Mr. Nguyen Hoang Nam to the Nghi Son 2 Thermal Power Project in particular and socio-economic development of Thanh Hoa province in general.

“For the project to be successful as of today, the role and responsibility of the provincial leaders and NSEZ ones is significant in promptly removing problems during the construction and operation period. The success of the Nghi Son 2 BOT Thermal Power Project contributes to highlighting the good relationship between Vietnam, Korea and Japan." Mr. Choi emphasized.

Previously, on the evening of October 11, 2024, NS2PC received a Merit Certificate of the Chairman of Thanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee honoring NS2PC as a typical enterprise in Thanh Hoa province in 2024 for its outstanding achievements in production and business, contributing to socio-economic development of the province.

Nghi Son 2 BOT Thermal Power Plant is worth nearly 2.8 billion USD, built from 2018 - 2022 invested by Korea Electric Power Corporation (50%) and Marubeni Corporation (40%), Tohoku Electric Power Co., Inc  (10%), Japan. The plant has a net capacity of 1,200 MW, an output of 7.8 billion kWh per year, providing electricity to more than 6 million households; After 25 years of operation, NS2PC will hand over the plant to EVN for continued operation.
